When Mickey first came to us,he was around 9 months old. He came with several dogs,around 8 of them that were scared to death and all they did was run from us. Of those eight,only George and Mickey remain. George is still a little shy but Mickey blossomed. Why? Well,for one,he went into foster care and they trained him. He came back a changed dog and he has remained with good manners despite the fact that he is a shelter dog. He still jumps and barks in the run when everyone else does,he is a dog after all. But,when you take Mickey out,he sits for his leash and then he allows you to lead him. He does not jump on us,he waits for cues. He accepts love and he enjoys our company. He is a great dog and he is being wasted here at the shelter,he needs to go home. Won't you open your heart to one of the greatest dogs in the world? He's a people dog,lover dog,spirited,personable wonder dog.
